"Rage on the Stage"

Films: Stage Fright (2014)

Alias: Roger McCall, Buddy Swanson

Type: Natural

Location: Civilized Area

Height/Weight: That of an average human.

Affiliation: Evil

Summary: Unlike the last outing with this title, this is not a story of a man in an owl mask hacking away at people. It's...similar, but not quite. Instead, you get a guy who'd like to be Erik, but just ends up...Gerald Butler Erik, at best. But hey, the whole thing's a rather spirited musical, so points for trying!

History: In 2004, the producer of the new musical, "Haunting of the Opera", was murdered by someone wearing the guise of the Opera Ghost, the play's main villain. Years later, her kids live with Roger McCall, the playwright's former lover. What they don't know is that Roger was the killer, having done so when their affair became known. He's a lousy parent and an even lousier producer for a musical theater summer camp. What's worse is that one of is adopted kids, Buddy Swanson, is rather insane from being blamed by Roger for the killing, and hates musicals. So now, we have a killer Opera Ghost who's trying to keep his crimes a secret, and another Opera Ghost who's killing people to get his sister out of acting.

Notable Kills: Burns a guy's mouth with a lightbulb after some brutal foot torture, and puts tons of nails into another's head (he looks like a certain Cenobite now).

Final Fate: After Buddy's kills nearly ruin the play, his sister learns the truth, both about her brother and her adoptive father's murder of their mom. Roger kills Buddy in a rage, only to be offed by a buzzsaw by the other kid in retaliation. He dies shortly after the thing disembowels him. The crowd nonetheless thinks it's all part of the show, and the survivor goes on to form a career, the Opera Ghost just an invasive memory.

Powers/Abilities: None.

Weakness: Anything conventional.

Scariness Factor: 4-The Opera Ghost may be an Erik wannabe, but he's still got a fairly intimidating design. Also, his kills are the stuff of nightmares at times. Whether it's an unstable youngster or a sleezy failure of a producer, the Opera Ghost is a bloody representation of misguided rage.

Trivia: -Roger was played by none other than Meat Loaf, one of the most famous and most talented rock stars of all time...who sadly has tarnished his own reputation by adhering to dated conservative values and making fun of people afraid of climate change. Damn. And his music was really good.

-For all of the songs, the cast did their singing live.
